When I was a classroom teacher part of my ongoing curriculum included self awareness and community awareness and how we can balance the complexities of this.
I've developed a series of classes based on this curriculum to assist children in celebrating and learning more about themselves and their uniqueness. Once we have invested in honoring ourselves, we discuss ways we can become constructively involved in our families and community.
Classes consist of topic discussions, children's books, role play, visual journaling and art making. If students attend all three classes, pages of their visual journals will be assembled at the end of this series creating a momento and point of reference for them over the months and year to come. An afternoon snack is provided. Each class is $55
