Students will explore and create abstract works with liquid watercolors. While using a variety of drawing methods and mediums, the children will identify forms within their paintings, creating shape and detailed depth to each.
This class is inspired by artist, Carla Sonheim.

Sunday, March 20, 1:30-4:30
Students will practice breaking down their ideas into a simple language using acrylic paint and a large brush while limiting their expression to two or three forms. We will spend time as a class discussing our different perceptions of each other's work. After creating over ten different paintings, we will practice the art of installation, combining our work together and using the classroom walls for installation space.
This class is inspired by Ellsworth Kelly.

Spring Break art+yoga Weekday Workshop
A walking field trip to the MIA with sketchbooks in the morning and a walking field trip to Yess Yoga with a private class by instructor Marnie Bounds in the afternoon. Three different art making sessions in the classroom over the course of the day. Morning and afternoon snack provided. Children required to bring a sack lunch.
