January classes

Monday, January 16

Celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr

In the morning, we will be designing and painting I HAVE A DREAM yard signs, listening to our Martin Luther King music playlist and reading books about Martin Luther King.

In the afternoon, we will continue the celebration by moving our bodies in yoga class with Marnie.  Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech as well as other songs and poetry will be woven into Marnie's class.  After this class, we will be studying Maya Angelou and her work.

This is less of a visual art class with more of an emphasis on absorbing, discovering, reflecting and celebrating through music, books and words within an engaging, rich and playful environment.
